To Yeats, the content of poem if much more valuable than its format. With the impact of estheticism, in his early stage of production, he emphasized the exquisite format of the poem, but not that 'arsgratia artis'. He believed if poem could not perform something which exceeds itself, it is valueless. At least it should be a wonder place where people could roam around and get rid of the annoyance of daliy lives. This might be the reason why Yeats pursued the whole life to chase the philosophy which goes beyond poem, but not that enthusiasm for the technical experiment as the other modern poets.
