As a director of the CIEE China in a Global Context study abroad program in Shanghai, I can definitely concur with the gist of this article. The number of American and other foreign students studying in China is certainly growing by leaps and bounds, as are the programs available to students. It's high time Americans stop being so Euro-centric and venture out into other parts of the world to learn other perspectives.
