这个句子是这样的

我觉得是这样的...如果这是upon learning 引导的条件状语从句...那么主句和从句的时态不是应该不一样吗..但是这题的答案是make 所以....为什么呢..

upon(on) doing 意思是：一.....就....
与as soon as
hardly(scarely)... when...
no sooner than
on the point of doing sth... when...一样
根据情况从句（upon ...)用的是couldn't是过去时，所以应是made呀，再说了
既然是friend也应考虑三单，用makes

答案应该是:made

所以主句中也要用过去式 不可能是make

不能支付发生在过去，她的朋友帮她可以是现在的

此句应该是虚拟语气,因为付费没有发生,shell省略.
