英语问题！！！！关于“代替”！！！

in place of 代替，取代，交换
Plastics are now often used in place of wood or metal.
现在塑料经常被用来代替木料或金属。

take one's place 坐某人的座位，代替某人的职务
这是人作主语 一般人对于人而言
在口语中也做 “准备好 够就各位”讲
Take your place for the next dance.
各就各位,准备跳下一只舞

take the place of 代替,取代
主语既可指人又可指物
Nowadays plastics have taken the place of many conventional materials.
现在塑料已代替了许多传统材料。

关于出处 那是英语国家的人说话的习惯而已 现在英语越来越口语化了 我们除了应付考试 没必要区分那么清楚

这些词组本身并不限定是人还是物。只是take one's place这里写了one's，所以一般是指人。

事实上，写one's其实并不恰当，因为一般one's是表示“自己的”，而sb's才表示“某人的”。

另外还要注意，in place of是介词性的，而后两者是动词性的。

比如：
I'm doing the work in her place (也可以说in place of her，但麻烦一些)
I'm taking her place (taking the place of her)
Cars are used nowadays in place of bikes.
Cars are taking the place of bikes.

不就是取代嘛，分什么人啊，物的。不用钻这牛角尖啊，

其他的我还不清楚，不过take one's place是人取代人的意思，表示取代了某人的位置
