1.C 考察疑问副词引导的定语从句

I used to work. 主+谓。完整的句子，所缺的是状语，根据句意，知道缺的是 地点状语。而地点状语由 Where 引导，所以选C.

当然，这道题还可以有另一种说法
The building in which I used to work has 50floors.

2.B 定语从句。

很明显，是对notice这个名词进行一个定语修饰。

其实，我觉得这四个选项都不妥帖。

但四个选项唯一说得过去的也只有B.

按B 应是 What was that notice that you were looking at?

可是，照理说，定语从句中，一般情况下只要指物 that which都是可以的。
但像此句，前面有一个that出现，所以后面应该用which引导，避免混乱。

所以这道题照理来说有两种表达方法
1.What was that notice at which you were looking at?

2.What was that notice which you were looking at?

可以排除A C D.

3.B
因为出现了the only.
只要出现这个词，引导词只能用that.

4.C
which 在从句中作主语，引导非限定性定语从句。

你记住，只要前面有一个逗号，后面引导词是引导定语从句，指物，一般都是用which.（初中阶段就只有这一个）

where在这里做了状语。
是说：A famous author lived (in The Lake District). 括号内用where替代。
