我觉得这个不是虚拟语气的问题啊..如果没有特定的上下文背景，完全可以用一般现在时态（一般现在时包括阐述 不变的事实 客观真理 等）
We should't do the subtraction if m will be under zero after the subtraction
If m was reduced less than zero, then should not do the subtraction
