“没有椅子”应该怎么说?

第一个不说了，正确的常态用法。
第二个，你要用，可能情况很多，比如：I was told there were sufficient chairs for this meeting. But there wasn't at all/ But there weren't that many( there were some)

两个都可以的。不过如果只是一般形容习惯上会用第二个。

原理就像问屋子里有没有椅子会习惯说"Are there any chairs in the house" 一样，（"Is there a chair in the house"会有点特指的味道了）

1对。因为你不知道屋子里有没有椅子、有一把还是几把，所以在不肯定的情况下时用单数。
