句中的 so that 是固定句型，如此... 以致...
现在 good 前加了so，后面的that 就必须加一个完整的句子，句子为了避免重复和累赘，用指示代词they （题中误用的it ）。
你说的直接 that do 的情况应当出现在从句里，比如：
