这句中scientists hate to hear是不是thing的定语从句？如果是thing的定语从句那么引导词that只有在thing在从句中作宾语的情况下，但从句中已经有宾语了呀？
The shock of realizing that science might be over came to him , he says , when she was talking to Oxford mathematician and physicist sir Roger Perwose.
这个句子中realizing是动名词还是分词形式？（我认为是动名词因为动名词可以做介词of的宾语）that引导的是什么从句是作为realize的宾语从句吗？动名词后可以接宾语？came to him是什么从句而且还省了引导词？
