I think that a gun, an umbrella and a mirror would be the mmost useful on a deserted island.

The gun is useful because I can use it to shoot dangerous beings, be they tigers or sharks or pirates or anything else. In a dangerous, unfamiliar island, I would certainly not survive without a gun. But of course I need to ensure that the gun has bullets in it, otherwise it would be useless.

The umbrella is useful because most tropical islands are extremely rainy. many of these rains are acidic which means it would kill me if i didn't have an umbrella. That's why I need it.

The mirror is useful because it can help me to escape. When a ship passes by the island, I can do nothing to inform it that I am on the island but to reflect sunlight onto the ship by a mirror. Without a mirror, I would die on that island unable to escape.
