英语翻译中的句子

给的意思是：看上去它（指正在破茧而出的蝴蝶）好像已经尽力了，无法再往前迈出一步。
这句话好像有问题，我一点也没看懂，不知用到了些什么语法。希望能详细讲解，谢谢！

把中间那个莫名其妙的can改成and了。。。。。

语法，就是as if好像的意思，引导的宾语从句，然后～as far as it could就是它能力所能到达的最远的位置
而那个句首的it是形式主语，没有实际意思

and连接的就是两句话而已

通篇过去时，
It appeared as 似乎 好像

as far as it could 它所能去到的最远处

as...as...与。。一样，这里是与它所能做到的一样远

it could go no further.
它不能够再去到更远的地方了

看来，犹如变得它可能不能再进一步。
