而要用unless的话就是说,

Unless we have collected enough evidence, we can't conclude that there existed water on Mars.

如果用“除非”，那么汉语说法应该是：除非我们收集到了足够的证据，否则我们不能断定火星上面存在水。
这里的“除非”用unless，英语说法如二楼的。

unless放在后面也可以，如下： We can't conclude that there existed water on Mars unless we have collected enough evidence.

一般老师会讲 unless = if ... not。
那么，上面的句子如果变同义句就是：We can't conclude that there existed water on Mars if we haven't collected enough evidence.
