There are two ways:
1) walk to Euston station (about 20 min walk)and then take the Northern Underground Line towards Morden, you will reach London Bridge station in about 10 min.

2) walk to Great Portland Street Underground Station (about 5 min walk) then take Hammersmith & City Line or Circle Line or Metropolitan Line to Moorgate Underground Station, and then change to Northen line, it will take about 5 min to reach London Bridge.

Both methods are around half an hour travelling, so I will say it's not very far away. Good luck!
