The question of weather a student is entitled to bring any form of communications device to school stems from the fact that it is allegedly distracting to the studying process, but weather this is true or not can be debated.

Firstly, the main argument brought up by many objectors to mobile phones in the class room is that it is a distraction. While i agree that this MAY be the case, it is just as easily argued that students in possession of mobile phones are more than likely in high school, it's quite unlikely for a primary school student to have a mobile phone and if a primary student DID have a phone, i too would argue that it would not be justified. HOWEVER, as young adults, adolescents are capable of controlling their actions and can take responsibility for their own equipment. Those who are unable to do so, will be punished and their privilege of bringing a phone to class will be removed. However until such a situation arises, there is no logical reason to arbitr
