嗯，楼上有三题不对。
2. ,but 后应接一个完整的句子。
4.having 应该改成despite
5.led to calls that 属于 wrong idiom. 应该为led to calles for
1.promise在原句用作及物动词，其宾语应该为人，即向某人保证。但是原句后面没有宾语导致句子结构不完整，所以改为made promises后面的both...serves是补足语。
2.题目的重点在强调后半句，但是省略it does have后就不明显了。但是没有看到完整的题目所以不能确定。
3.改为the largest number.
4.应该是having的主语不清。newspaper和people语法上都能作为having的主语。
5.这个就不知道了。
