应该用the other
首先前文提到了她有两个朋友，应该填“另一个”。而another 用于三者以上，所以这里只能用the other.
another也是另一者，但是不定数量的

这里不是特指另一个，而是其他一个，可以任意的
another表三者或三者以上，而本句中只有两朋友
