关于depend的问题

up在这里是什么意思，depend与up可以连用吗

没有depend up这样的短语，只有depend on 和depend upon，两者意思差不多。

“靠电脑上翻译”这句话没有语境不太好翻，是靠电脑来做翻译还是靠电脑翻译这项功能？

至于你用金山翻出来的up是因为中文里那个“上”的原因，翻译软件都是给你一个字一个字地翻的……所以“靠”－depend，“电脑”－a computer，“上”－up，“翻译”－translation ……

我以前用翻译软件也经常碰到这种问题，呵呵～～～

不可以加up的 depend后面都是跟介词on搭配
