一般情况下，小朋友会打扮成各种妖怪，手里拿着篮子或袋子，很天真的望着你，对你说：Treat or trick?
Treat 即款待，也就是伸手问你要糖果；
Trick 即恶作剧，也就是不给糖就不放过你。
有些孩子真的会拿鸡蛋啊，西红柿啊去丢那些恶狠狠的不理小孩子的人。
