The Million Mom March began in 2000, in Washington DC where 700,000 people gathered on Mother’s Day to demand sane gun laws. It was the largest demonstration in U.S. History. Thousands more gathered in their home states rallying to the same message. Since that time, hundreds of local chapters continue the grassroots efforts to affect local, state, and national laws to reduce gun violence.
