this morning when i start my 2002 Passat 1.8T , a noise sounds like a bell (jingling jingling) raised from the front middle part of the car. it only disappeared after about 30minutes' driving.
later the same day when i was driving i found the MIL on (shape like a valve) and it stayed on during driving.
how can i fix this problem myself - if possible. if not, what's wrong with it?

你这两个故障是有联系的，首先，你发现的叮当叮当声，一定是三元催化器损坏了。就是三元催化里面的磁芯碎了，他是排气管中最靠前的那个包。在排气的作用下，在排气管里乱撞，就发出叮当的声音。之后你的那个灯亮了，就说明发动机存在故障码，那款发动机有两个氧传感器，用来检测三元催化器的，如果催化器坏了，氧传感器传感到排气不合格，就会亮灯。为什么是隔了两天才亮灯，那是因为催化器损坏严重，催化效果持续变差，差到一定程度，判断为故障，就亮灯了。建议尽快去维修站检查故障码，更换三元催化器和后氧传感器。不过价格可不低压，原装的要5000元呢。
