I was recently informed that some schools prevent freshmen to bring their own computers for fear that they will be addicted to computer games. However, I strongly disagree. First, I believe that freshmen are old enough to know that they should study more rather than to waste their precious time on virtual games. Freshmen have all gone through their tough high school senior year and must realize the hard work they must pay to succeed, so they would cherish the chance to develop further in a university. Second, it would be much more convenient if students could use their own computers to study or to find materials. Public computers are always slow and effected with virus. Using one’s own computer can avoid both problems. In conclusion, I believe that freshmen should bring their own computers to school.
