In the famous Declaration of Indepence, the founders of the United States of America said that they "...hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal". Obviously, a person's sexual orientation should not stand in the way of that. Being gay or lesbian or bisexual is only a matter of personal choice. Although those with homosexual orientations are minorities in this society, they should not be discriminated against. Homophobia is a violation of basic human rights and they should be strongly discouraged.

这个话题很敏感.是对着外国人做演讲吗?如果你本人不是gay的话,最好不要选择这种论题,尺度很不容易把握,无意间的一些话可能会伤到别人.老美的攻击心态是很重的,你好好的说话他都可能觉得你在讽刺他.而且这个可算不上什么有趣的话题.西方人自己拍的关于GAY的电影也大多是悲剧.

还有很多话题可以做文章的，这个话题可能不是很好写，不是词汇跟语法的问题，而是不太好顺应大众的认可度，这对你的演讲是不利的
