1.Worried about the journey, I was unsettled for the first few days.
这里的时态是不是错的？ for the first few days 不应该用现在完成时吗？

整个句子只是在说一个过去的事实，用过去时。
现在完成时一般都含有强调过去与现在的联系的意味，从句中看不出这点。
例如：
-Hi，Tim. Where's Sam? I didn't find him in the library.
-He's(=He has) gone to classroom. (言下之意是So you can't find him in the library)

是你记错了。 in the first few days才用现在完成时

for the first few days.可以翻译为:在最初的几天里

你这里又没想说状态的持续或对现在的影响，干吗用现在完成时？
你选用一个时态不是看它的时间状语，而是看他的用法！现在就表示过去发生了几个这样的事件，跟现在没有任何关系啊。现在完成时可是表示现在的时态！
