About Western culture, I think I prefer their education. Western students enjoy a seemingly relaxed educational experience. This however, it is not the case for students in Asia, who face strict discipline, many house working and enter the variety examination from time to time. The students are under the great pressure of study. Such as in China, the Chinese students are taught that all questions have but one right answer and there is little room for debate. North American education needs to move away from an emphasis on fun, flexibility and individual learning styles. It is the education for all-round development. Contrary, in China, the most of students are learned by rote. It is only the test-oriented education system. However in Canada, where there are no college entrance exams, learning by rote is also cannot to acceptable. On the other hand, western parents speak proudly of their children’s achievement.
