严格地说是病句，since后加表一个短暂动作的动词，而不是表状态或延续性动词。
指从这个动词终止算起，经过了多久。
it is 2 weeks since i borrowed that book.
be married,表状态，两人一直维持着婚姻状态，married，形容词化动词过去分词。
"since we were married" really does not make since.

那样就对了，从“他们的婚姻结束”算起。但很少are married这么说。
since i was a student it's 3 years,而不说since i was bein' a student it's 3 years.
since 后接表示时间的词时通常是“时间点”，动词是表示瞬间的动词，与之相对的是for后接表示时间的短语时是“时间段”，动词是延续性动词。be married 强调的是状态，表示持续性，get marrid 强调的是动作，，是瞬间动词。如：
1)He lives here since last year.
2)He has been living here for ten years.
1)中last year 是时间点
2）中for ten years 是时间段
相同,因为be married和get married意思一样。
不管接延续性动词或瞬间动词都译为“自…以来…”
