新概念英语第二册Lesson 4课后题Exercises D部分有一个句子，She is making the beds，想问一下这里的beds用复数是指她铺了很多床，还是就是固定用法，意思为“整理床铺”，就跟make the bed一样？我在网上看到说make the bed做“整理床铺”讲的时候，the不能替换为物主代词，bed的单复数视情况而定。比如：
①He helps me (to) make the bed.
他帮我整理床铺。（不能说…make my bed. ）
②The students are making the beds
学生正在整理床铺。(不能说…making their beds

Please make your beds before breakfast.
请在早饭前把床铺好。
They were in such a hurry, they didn't have time to make the beds.
他们是这样匆忙，床都来不及铺了。
Will you do the beds?
你整理床好吗？

这些例句都是对的。
或者你可以这样理解，是描述的语气可以用the，如果是对话中，你对别人说或者要求，比如疑问和祈使句，是可以出现物主代词的。

make the bed(s)是一个固定词组，单复数可视情况而定，但是定完词THE 是不可以被替换的
