explain后面一定要加to sb.吗？

如果要表示“向某人解释”，要加“to sb.”
否则不加

explain做解释说明的意思的时候，可以做及物动词也可以做不及物动词！所以后面可以接宾语也可以不接宾语！
eg 1 ．I don not understand this ,but he will explain!
2．The lawyer will explain the detail to us !但是如果说向某人解释都要加to sb
