UC知道请问意思

有如下一句话：Of course, if we eat well and properly, the food that we eat will take care of our body.其中，take care of具体什么意思呢？能用look after替换吗？
这句话就是说。。。。我们吃的事物也会对我们的身体有好处。
我觉得不能替换。look after 是照顾。食物怎么能照顾身体呀？
不确定中〉。。。
就是照顾到的意思, 也就是对身体有好处, 可以用look after
