为什么not...后面不是or呢！！！！！！

习惯用法是我最恶心的敷衍了

或许我的看法让你好理解一点:

universities &the army就相当于一个固定词语了,不要把它看做是两个词的拼和,尽管前面有了not,但后面的那个词已经是固定了的.
再给你举个例子:

就好象爸爸妈妈说成是father and mother,
Many people watched the concert last night not just my father and mother.
不只我的爸爸妈妈,许多人都观看了昨天的音乐会.

人家就是要表达“和”的关系啊
