nucleus can be regarded as a console in the life activity of eukaryote cell. it takes charge of storage, replication and transcription of the genetic information.

A large, membrane-bound, usually spherical protoplasmic structure within a living cell, containing the cell's hereditary material and controlling its metabolism, growth, and reproduction.
Nucleus is important organelle in most of eukaryote cell.
However, mature blood cell do not have nucleus.
In a word, most of our DNA molecules are in the nuclei!
