UC知道creditor 与debtor搞不清楚

字典上说creditor是债权人，debtor是债务人的意思吧？
但是今天在bec高级书上的一篇讲accounting的文章中介绍:
creditor(GB)or accounts payable(US)；
debtor(GB)or accounts receivable(US)；
如果说creditor是债权人的意思，那么怎么会是accounts payable呢?
然后我看文章，好像它的意思就是creditor是借款的意思，请问明白人，到底怎么解释呢？

creditor是债权人，debtor为债务人。但是accounting里面的debt和credit指的是double entry复式记账法的左右两面。accounts payable是应付款项属于负债，计入右边贷方credit，accounts receivable是应收款项属于资产，计入左边借方debt。
的确是“creditor是债权人，debtor是债务人”
creditor:a person, company,ect.that sb owes money to(债权人，债主，贷方)如：The property will be sold to pay off their creditor.财产将会卖掉以偿还债务。
debtor:a person, a country or an organization that owes money(债务人，借方)
