同意Toogle1998的，不过第一个我建议把much改成any，因为问的是桌上有没有牙膏，我的理解是“有没有挤到桌子上的牙膏”，去掉的话意思差一点吧？
两个问题都可以直接用YES，there is/are.或者No,there isn't/aren't.或者直接用YES OR NO 来回答，都是可以的。

Is there much toothpaste on the table? 桌上有牙膏吗？（建议去掉much）

Are there many boxES on the table? 桌上有很多盒子吗？（boxes）
