继去年格力在中央空调超低温制热技术上获得历史性突破之后，今年，格力再次成功解决了普通家用空调的低温制热技术难题。记者刚刚从珠海格力电器获悉，即将上市的格力高档柜机“王者之尊”采用了拥有自主知识产权的格力低温制热技术(即EVI技术)，能充分满足寒冷冬天消费者的制热需求。目前，格力已经为该技术申请了国家专利。
由于冬季室外温度低，空调的制热效果比较差，无法达到节能的目的，气温特别低时甚至无法正常使用。如何保证空调在低温的环境下正常使用，并且具有良好的制热效果，这一直以来成为困扰全球空调行业的技术难题。为解决这一难题，全球各大空调巨头均投入了大量的人力、物力和财力，但收效甚微。
目前市场上最常见的是通过辅助电加热的方式，即在空调内机安装电热丝，来提高空调在冬季的制热效果，以满足消费者的需求，但这种做法有个弊端，那就是增加了耗电量，无法达到节能的目的。
如今，格力最新研发成功的低温制热技术，正好圆满解决了这一技术难题，能让更多消费者在寒冷冬天享受格力空调带来的强劲的暖意。
据负责这一项目开发的格力工程师介绍，格力低温制热技术就是通过在空调核心部件--压缩机上增加第二个吸气口，用类似低温系统双级压缩的方法，通过第二吸气口增加制冷剂的流量，从而增大空调的制热功能。其最大的优点就是在同一个循环系统内，在不增加耗电量的前提下，增加了空调的制热量，制热稳定性大幅度提高，能效比高，达到了节能的目的。国家认可实验室的测试数据显示，应用了格力低温制热技术的空调比普通空调在冬季的制热量能提高10％－20％。
业内人士表示，在国家大力推广节能、安全、清洁和环保的新型采暖技术，倡导全社会向循环经济和节约型社会转变之际，时下又正值秋冬季节，应用了低温制热技术的格力空调势必受到政府机关、行业协会、建筑设计院及消费者的追捧，掀起新一轮销售热潮。
