显卡驱动高手请进！！

小弟为了提高显卡性能（双敏9618）费了很大劲，下了个较新的ati催化剂驱动（ati6.4 xp平台）但装到一半却出现中断提示： INF error
video driver not found 点确定后又出现

Setup was unable to complete the installation
Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup
不明白啊 ：本来就是在装驱动啊 为什么说 video driver not found呢？ 这个驱动该怎么装啊 ？
