Don’t Hesitate to Say “No”
As we all know, we’ll inevitably offer help or need help from others. Then, under what circumstances should we say no when someone turns to us for help? As far as I’m concerned, the situations can be classified into two types. First we have to say no when the demand is either against our consciences or beyond our competence. Secondly,We’ll also have to refuse them when we dislike them.
On the contrary, why don’t some people say no when they should? Maybe on one hand, they’re too kind to do so or, on the other hand they help others simply for their own interests.
Obviously, people who hesitate to say no will be obliged to do something that they’re not willing to or that which is not suitable for them to do. Moreover, it is selfish of them when they do something that they shouldn’t , such as something against the law.
So, it’s a mistake for us to say yes when we should refuse . In a word, don’t hesitate to say no when necessary.
