汉语是海马，英文是seahorse,是巧合吗？

究竟是汉语跟英语译的，还是英语跟汉语翻译的，难道是大家不约而同就自动选择了这种叫法吗？
象黑板这些当然大家都知道，是汉语直接从英语那里借鉴过来的，但是我不相信中国过去没有“海马”“海星”之类的词！！！按照逻辑，这样的词不可能是我们从英语那里借过来的，我很怀疑是不约而同---相当佩服自己（呵呵！别臭美了...）

仅仅是组合词，一般象生物的命名，物质的命名，基本都是由发现者自行确认的，如果发现者起的名字为seahorse，那翻译成中文就是海马了。像毛主席的纸老虎，翻译成英文就是papertiger。

不是，汉语以前没有海马一词，这个是根据英语英语直译过来的
