that +of 是什么用法

除了之上表示代词之外，还有这样的解释:
eg.The good is like that of water.
表之类的,THAT OF +名词,这东西就和水类似.

that +of 的用法；
1。 that 代词， 代替前面的某个可数/不可数名词或句子，特指。
如：He said he was wrong . That is true.
( that 代替的是he was wrong)
2。that of + n/pron 在某范围内的相同的。。。
如：The (population )of China is larger than (that) of Japan.
( that 代替的 是 population，不可数名词 )

His own experience was different from that of his friends.
他的经历和他的朋友的不同
that指代前面提到的experience, of表示是他的朋友的

that通常是做代词,代替其前面的词
比如Is your school life that of other teens?
相当于is your school life like the school life of other teens?
