the test is for the English and American Literature, so i think you can write for a famous writer introduced in the text book you had read, such as Edmund Spenser, Alfred Tennyson or others you are really interested in. just having some disscusion with him on his masterpiece, talking about his writing styly or some work background. making yourself like one of his best friend to provide some advice or imagination for his work. or you should imagine yourself a hot fan to express your respect to him. well, i think, your major is English, and you had read the text book totally, basically having some special opinion on your own, just expressing them naturally, i hope you can get a high score! good luck!
