而且whether……or……这个词组是什么意思？

例：you have to attend the ceremony whether you are free or busy.
题中的意思是whether(they are) old or young

题中a是一个复数概念，动词应该用复述形式，所以产生矛盾

D.题目意思是每个人都能参与到谈论中,无论是老年人还是年轻人.表示选择关系,所以选D

c啊，everybody "is",用的是IS ,所以不能用复数. 这话对了！
