when 在定语从句中到底应该怎样用，高手帮我看哈句子？

1. The places which/ that we visited are really beautiful.
2. The places where we visited are really beautiful.

3. Beijing is the place where i hope to visit.
4. Beijing is the place which/where i hope to visit.

似乎严格的来说应该用1和4，但是有争议！请高手们指教
第4个句子打错个单词
代词为that 而不是where

visit是及物动词,后面直接跟一个地点,which在这里指代这个地点,不能用Where
因为where= 介词+ which,当句子里的动词是不及物动词可用
举个例子:
The place where i live is really beautiful.
Beijing is the place where i hope to live.

(live是不及物动词,后一定要加介词.)
