The Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) is a non-profit, academic and national learned corporate body. CIE is a member of China Association for Science and Technology; it is registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China and under the auspices of China Ministry of Information Industry.

CIE was founded in 1962. It is composed of over 100,000 individual members and about 500 group members, 44 professional societies, 12 working committees and a working team with about one hundred full-time staff. CIE’s Regional branches have been set up in 30 cities, provinces and autonomous regions.

CIE 颜色系统
CIE 表示 Commission Internationale d'Eclairage，是世界闻名的研究颜色的学者的组织。 在 1931 年，这些科学家建立了表示可见光谱的一系列颜色空间的标准。 CIE 颜色模型和我们前面讨论过的其它模型类似，采用三个坐标来表示一个颜色在色空间中的位置。 但是，CIE 空间（包括 CIE XYZ、CIE L*a*b* 和 CIE L*u*v*）是不依赖设备的，也就是说，这些色空间中的颜色范围并不受到某种设备或某一个观察者视觉再现能力的限制。
