同学坚持认为应该在周末举行英语晚会，即晚会还没举行，后面用should
又句中用insisted,所以应该用过去时态，后句用过去时

而insist that + v.(正常时态,就是该什么时态就用什么时态)
表示"坚持说..而且说的是事实"

还有另外一词也有两用法suggest表明,暗示;建议
如her pale face suggested that she wa ill and we suggested that she should go to see a doctor.
