fall off 和fall from有什么区别?

有什么区别?
一楼,fall over是摔倒,fall off 和fall from都是从... 上面摔下来,我问,它们后面跟什么地点?举几个例子.

Be careful not to fall off the ladder.
当心别从梯子上掉下来。
fall from
由…落下，(由…口里)说出
The news fell from his lips.
这则消息由他嘴透露出来。
The climber fell from a great height.
攀登者从极高的地方坠落下来.

比如如果A原来是on B的，那么摔/掉下来就要用 fall off 例如： fall off the chair (椅子) 对应 on the chair fall off the roof (屋顶) 对应 on the roof
但是如果描写摔下来之前的情况，如果用的介词不是on而是at, in，之类的，就要用A falls from B 例如： falls from a height of 500 meters (500米的高度)

fall off 是跌倒
fall from 是从... 上面摔下来
