Each of the boys gets a book from me.

the boys是复数 但是就单独“每个男孩”都得到了“gets”是作为单数

each与both一样，只限于用在复数形式之前，后面可跟of+these/those等（of后面的代词仅限于复数形式）。

each of 后接复数名词，而且必须是特指的，但整个词组的中心词是“each”,作单数看待。
如；each of the students(注意：the 不能去掉)
Each of the boys has a bike.

each of students 学生中的每个人，加复数
