Western Culture and Custom

In Chinese, giving seat to senior citizens on bus will be regarded as a good way to show respect. But in western communities, it will be an insult.

The western culture highlights individualism, and people will be reluctant to take help for granted. Therefore, the customs in western countries are also quite different from that in China.

As an English learner, I think we should learn more about western culture and customs to seek better communication with the west world.
