1.这里的before是介词,不是什么时间状语从句.那位有篷货车里的女士微笑着问哈利在把他运走之前,还想要什么.
2.是倒装.正常的语序是it was licking.表示还在不停地干着某事的意思:他们看着那头大猩猩挠着头,还是那样在舔着什么.
3.是too...to固定词组.太...以至于不能.那可真是物极必反
4.名词从句.
5.你们先拍张自己的照片,我只能拿出一丁点的时间.这里的but是only的意思.
6.marriage 系常用词, 指“男女成为夫妇”或“婚姻状态”, 有时也指“婚礼”, 如:
a relation by marriage
姻亲。
matrimony系正式用语, 指“结婚”、“婚姻生活”, 尤指“结婚宗教仪式”,如:
unite persons in holy matrimony
使人结成神圣的婚姻。
这里看语气应该用后者.因为用了persuade一词,比较正式.
7.leave:当名词用是许可的意思.
我允许你喜欢他.他如果没伤害我的话,我会更容易地原谅他的虚荣.
后句是虚拟语气.
8.tap：轻拍：落手很轻的柔和地击打：
I tapped you on the shoulder to get your attention.

rap：敲击：快速极重地打击；狠狠一击：
rapped the table with his fist.
用拳头重击桌子
drum：连续敲击：有节奏或连续地捶击或叩击：

紧张地在桌上嗒嗒地敲击
hammer：敲击，打击：用或好象用锤子来反复地敲打；击打，用拳头连续揍：
