Total Quality Assurance means meeting customer needs without error, on time, every time. Our exerprience,so far has by and large been good. However, the message has not yet reached everybody in the company. Although the number of projects and people has grown, they have not grown as fast as we would like. So, one of the key problem is how to express the benefits of this programme in money terms. In my opinion, this problem is particularly acute when accouting for the less tangible benefits of the programme. At the shop floor level, people will tend to talk the language of things, whereas at the upper management level, people talk the language of money. Middle management, therefore, need to be bilingual to translate between the two.
