请问想去美国留学是先考托福好还是先考GRE好呢？大概需要准备多久呢？谢谢

我现在大三，下半年就大四了，刚刚报了新东方的托福班，对GRE也认识的很少，托福班4月份开课，不知道来不来得及赶得及在大四下学期出国留学呢？

一般在大四的12月之前就要备齐材料 最好寄出了
所以 最晚10月要考了GRE 现在又是新G了 都不熟悉 所以最好要留出时间 万一第一次成绩不好 可以考第二次
建议你先开始背单词 在这学期考出托福（是保证有个可以的分数 基本80－100就可以 所以请预留重考的时间以防万一） 且GRE单词背至少2遍 然后准备GRE考试 尽量不要放太晚考 因为考完还要准备PS 也很重要的

These are two different tests.

TOEFL is to show your ability of English language. English language is just a skill. You need to show this test score to both the university admission officer and US Visa officer. In fact, almost all foreign student, undergrad or graduate or even high school students are required to take this test. English language improved with lot of practice.

I recommend you to take TOEFL as often as you can.

GRE is for applying any particular graduate degree admission office to show your subject knowlege. I recommend you to take the GRE at the last year so that you have achieve as much subject knowledge as possible.
