last stay有何区别

last有很多意思
a. 最后的,末尾的,最近的,晚了，迟到了
v. 持续,支持,维持
ad. 最后,后来
例句与用法:

他到得最晚。

过去的几年他一直住在这里。
而stay只有
n. 停留,停止,依靠
v. 停留,留宿,制止

例句与用法:
1. The temperature has stayed hot this week.
本周气温一直都很热。

2. I stayed late at the party last night.
昨晚我在晚会上呆到很晚。

讲持续的话last和stay有点不一样，不可以通用。
比如我说今儿晚上去朋友家呆一晚上用STAY。
说今年冬天真冷，一直从11月持续到3月就用LAST

last:最后的,最近的;最后;上一次,n.最后;;late的最高级
stay:停留;耽搁;持久;阻止;延缓;坚持n. 逗留

last指的是持续的意思 而stay是指保持.停留的意思。
在用法上就有本质的区别。last+数词，而stay+名词短语。比如说
last 3 days.而不能说stay 3 days
