因为the matter=wrong ,具有形容词的特点，所以不做主语，主语由疑问词 what充当。

宾语从句中的语序应该用陈述句语序。这里what是做主语，was是做谓语，the matter 是做表语。
类似 what is going on, I wonder what is going on .

直接引语变间接引语中，别的形式都要变为正常的陈述语序
除了“what's wrong/the matter?”
这里用后者就可以
